No computer tells me what I can't do!!!
No computer tells me what I can't do!!! My first week of college, I learned that the athletic department was keeping their records on paper, so I went over to the computer lab and asked how this programming stuff works, and he gave me a BASIC syntax manual. I taught myself enough to write a pretty good statistics-keeping program before the end of that month, on ticker-tape, on a 75-baud telex-looking terminal.

Years later I got my first home PC so I could work from home when I ripped my knee to shreds in late 1988, and have been in love with computers ever since.

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 531S thin form-factor AMD-64 Athlon dual-core processor, with a separate video card and a bunch of other stuff. Also have an HP dv6000t, which I hardly ever use because I've got an iPad Wifi/3G and LogMeIn, and it weighs about an eighth of the HP.
