Calling all techno-babble speakers... I've been working with computers (mostly application or hardware) forever it seems. Because I have also been a hobbyist, my conversations are often peppered with techno-babble--which frustrates the non-techies I know. I do have hobbies that are unrelated to computers and sometimes when I get home from work I don't want to even LOOK at a computer. However, I can't seem to avoid my love of gadgets of various kinds. I'm not much of a programmer--hardware and operating systems are my thing as are PC games. My interest in and comfort around computers seems incompatible with my age. Computers aren't the center of my life, but it'd be nice to find someone who also enjoys them. Age, occupation, race, wealth (or lack of same) are unimportant, as long as the man is willing to accept my interest in technology and learn enough of the lingo that I'm not always losing him when I forget to de-techno my conversation. Speaking of techno: if he also likes that music--wonderful.
