I've been into computers since I was a kid, starting with an Atari 2600, then moving on to a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128K +2, which I started programming on. Next came an Amiga 500, then after that it's all been PCs, aside from a Mac mini I'm most interested in computer music technology, and my job is in this area too. I've been making computer-based music since the Amiga days, and right now have a Core i7-based system as my main music machine, running apps like Cubase and Ableton Live, along with lots of plug-ins
I also have a netbook, a full-size laptop and the aforementioned Mac mini. I used to do quite a lot of programming but I don't have time for it these days, unfortunately - I'd like to get back into it someday.I also play guitar, bass and drums, and play in a band. Besides music, my main thing is reading and writing - mainly the latter these days, and mostly factual stuff (with a few funnies thrown in). I love going to gigs, and dancing is always fun too. I like playing word games and am currently recovering from a mild Scrabble addiction. I don't watch TV and haven't owned one for years, although I'm not anti-telly or anything.
I like cooking and baking, but more as a fun thing to do with a friend than a serious pursuit. Lately I've been making milkshakes
Personality-wise, I'd say I am honest, caring, considerate and patient, and while I don't have loads of close friends, the ones I do have are really great ones. My sense of humour might be best described as dry, but I also enjoy/employ groan-worthy puns/wordplay and other such nonsense, if you can tolerate it
